11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Radamen Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez tries for a takedown but Trades sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sanchez throws a series of punches but Trades avoids them all with ease. Sanchez rushes Trades and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Sanchez tries a knee to the head but Trades blocks it.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Trades is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sanchez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Trades wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Trades stuns Sanchez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Trades lunges at Sanchez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sanchez's hand. Sanchez is looking to clinch. Trades ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanchez moves away. Trades lands a jab to the nose. Sanchez wants to clinch. Donk. Trades catches Sanchez right on the button with a cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trades slips a jab and a cross from Sanchez.
Sanchez tries to clinch but Trades is having none of it. Trades avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Trades swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sanchez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Trades fails to land with a series of punches.
Trades looks to land a left hand but Sanchez moved out of range nicely. Trades throws a head kick that misses. Sanchez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Trades sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sanchez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Sanchez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Trades can pounce on him.
Sanchez on the wrong end of a nice hook. Trades lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Sanchez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Sanchez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Trades. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanchez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Sanchez is rocked! Sanchez walks straight into a right hand from Trades - that's dropped him! Trades jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Sanchez from any more punishment! Sanchez complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jack Trades!
