Antonio Silva is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Silva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson.
Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Silva shoots in.
Antonio Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva swings for the body but Jackson moves out of range.
Silva wants to clinch.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.

I wouldn't like to be where Silva is right now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jackson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jackson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jackson stands up and we're back to a striking position.

and Jackson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jackson pulls his head out easily.

Jackson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Jackson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jackson.

Jackson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silva has Jackson pulled in close to control his posture.

Jackson trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Silva looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jackson thows a big elbow that misses.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Jackson escapes and gets back to his feet.
Silva tries for a takedown but Jackson circles away easily
and Jackson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Silva takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silva prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karl Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Jackson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Silva is defending well though. Jackson let's go of the attempt for now.

Jackson is hanging on to Silva's back as he tries to escape.
Jackson doesn't have the hooks in and Silva manages to turn into his guard.
Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jackson tries to stand but Silva is controlling from the bottom.

Jackson is posturing up here but Silva has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jackson tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jackson has to tap! Slick submission there by Silva!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Antonio Silva!
