Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between OIiver Twist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remington Vice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vice has chosen The Arcade by Hypercrush as his entrance music. Remington Vice told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, OIiver Twist! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Remington Vice! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Twist closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Twist is figuring out what he wants to do next. Vice actively working from the bottom here. Vice trying to control but Twist postures up.
Twist is trying to work for a kimura but Vice is defending well.
Vice is trying to maintain the position but Twist is very close to passing his half guard. Vice is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Twist passes to side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Twist working away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Vice stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vice wants it to stay on the feet. Twist is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vice's half guard. Vice actively working from the bottom here. Vice blocking the ground and pound attempt from Twist. Vice tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Vice is trying to get back to full guard. Vice is looking to control Twist's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vice avoid being mounted? The fighters are battling for position here. Vice manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Vice keeping moving, preventing Twist from controlling successfully.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Twist dives in and grabs Vice's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vice pushes down on Twist's head and hops out. The fight stays on the outside here - Twist looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vice leaves Twist with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for OIiver Twist. That's going to take a lot out of him. Twist is breathing heavily. Twist misses with a wild body shot. Vice tries for a takedown but Twist circles away easily so Twist counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vice has his foot on Twist's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Twist works his way back into a safe position though. Vice not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vice keeping moving, preventing Twist from controlling successfully. Twist thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Vice is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Vice is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Twist controlling from the top position. Vice working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Twist doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Twist manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Twist's corner is telling him to maintain position. Vice has a closed guard, preventing Twist from standing up. Vice wants to sweep here but Twist controlling him for the moment. Twist distracts Vice with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Vice is trying to keep Twist in close.
Twist has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Vice keeping moving, preventing Twist from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Twist is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vice's half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
OIiver Twist dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Vice fails with the takedown and Twist counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Twist working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Vice keeping moving, preventing Twist from controlling successfully. OIiver Twist overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Twist stopping the sweep attempt from Vice. Vice looking for a guillotine here but Twist defends easily.
Vice is trying to control the position but Twist postures up. Vice working for a triangle but Twist defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vice avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Twist trying to control but Vice is working from the bottom. Twist has gone for a leg lock! Vice slips out almost immediately though and dives into Twist's guard. Twist trying to strike off his back.
Vice slips nicely into half guard. Twist tries to kick Vice off but Vice keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Vice in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Twist tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Vice!
