Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Cunha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Starks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Cunha could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Andy Starks's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Cunha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Starks! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cunha shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Starks as he jumps to the side. Starks bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Cunha is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Starks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Starks lands a decent elbow from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The strikes coming from Starks are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Starks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cunha, who protects the arm well. Starks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Starks fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cunha manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Starks working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Cunha's thigh. Cunha counters though and makes it back to full guard. Starks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Starks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Starks wants to control from the top but Cunha keeps moving. Starks drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cunha dives on top into guard. Cunha forces his way into half guard. Starks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Starks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Starks wants to sweep here but Cunha controlling him for the moment. Cunha looking to pass the guard. Starks looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Cunha is defending well. Starks quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Cunha has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Starks celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
