Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ocho Cinco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rey Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rey Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ocho Cinco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rey Jones!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cinco misses with a two punch combination.
Jones looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Cinco shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jones napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cinco taking a breather here.

Cinco decides to stand back up. Cinco steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet.

Jones gets caught flat footed, as Cinco shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cinco tries to stand but Jones is controlling from the bottom.
Cinco controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Cinco wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Jones has a closed guard, preventing Cinco from standing up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cinco is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cinco misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cinco lands a nice shot to the body.

Cinco decides to pull guard.
Cinco is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him.
Jones won't allow Cinco to sweep him here.

Cinco has his feet on Jones's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Cinco misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Jones misses with a takedown

and Cinco counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Cinco gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A head kick misses from Cinco.
Cinco tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horrible takedown by Cinco or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.
Cinco shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cinco's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones wants to control from the top but Cinco keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cinco pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
Cinco trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ocho Cinco dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Cinco lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cinco, pushing him back against the cage.

Cinco jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Cinco is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Cinco wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cinco doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Cinco could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cinco's guard.

Jones stands up from Cinco's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cinco shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ocho Cinco is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Cinco has managed to clinch.

Jones has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cinco regains guard immediately.
Cinco keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Cinco.
Cinco pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.

Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Ocho Cinco overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cinco controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cinco misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cinco throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Cinco keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rey Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Jones looks to clinch

and Cinco counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard.
Cinco with a nice head shot there.
Cinco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cinco throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely.
Cinco wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

Cinco gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Cinco on that attempt.

Cinco fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Cinco shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Cinco is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jones reverses the position - he's now on top in Cinco's guard.

Cinco seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cinco scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.

Cinco is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.
Cinco wants to sweep but no luck.
Jones cracks Cinco with a solid left hand.
Jones wants to stand but Cinco has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Jones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cinco is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Cinco gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Cinco breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones with a poor takedown

and Cinco moves into the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cinco takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jones has Cinco pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cinco manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Jones jumps guard but Cinco stands there with Jones around his waist. Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ocho Cinco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rey Jones.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cinco pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Cinco jumps guard but Jones stands there with Cinco around his waist. Cinco gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Cinco throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jones has Cinco pulled in close to control his posture.
Cinco trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard.

Cinco gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ocho Cinco showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Cinco has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
