The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le fails with an attempt to clinch.
Meridan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Le in his tracks.

Le shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Meridan as he jumps to the side.
Le shoots for a double leg takedown but Meridan sprawls well. He's pushed Le's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Meridan looks to throw the jab but Le is out of range.
Meridan misses with a two punch combination.
Le fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Meridan lands the left hand.

Le takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Le shoots in for a takedown but Meridan shows good takedown defense.
Meridan looks to land a right hand but Le moved out of range.
Le shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Meridan as he jumps to the side.
Meridan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Le moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Meridan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Meridan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Le was well out of range. Poor timing from Meridan.
Le dodges the punch combination from Meridan.
Meridan throws a hook but Le blocks it.
Nice shot lands for Meridan.
Meridan has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Le looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Le tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Meridan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Meridan throws the left hand but Le avoids the punch easily.
Meridan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Le closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Meridan jabs at Le's body.
Le is breathing heavily.
Meridan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Meridan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Le is rocked!
Le walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Oh Le is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Meridan ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
BOOM! Meridan lands a beautiful left hook that drops Le. Le tries to recover but Meridan is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Le lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
