Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Matador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Steve Hanson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Steve Hanson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fred Matador! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matador ducks under a wild hook from Hanson. Hanson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Matador wants to clinch. Matador tries to clinch but Hanson moves out of range. Matador fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hanson manages to avoid it. Hanson throws a right and a left that both miss. Hanson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Matador tries to close the distance and clinch but Hanson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Matador misses with a series of wild punches.
Matador tries to clinch but Hanson is having none of it. Matador takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Fred Matador has been cut. Matador is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hanson missing with a left hand there. Matador was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Matador has taken the fight to the clinch.
Matador lands an elbow inside that Hanson shrugs off. Matador keeps control of Hanson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hanson misses with the head strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson is looking to control Matador's arms but Matador gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hanson has his back to the ropes. Hanson misses with a punch on the inside.

Matador crunches a lovely knee into Hanson's ribcage. Matador tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hanson avoids it. Hanson is working Matador over against the ropes. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Hanson wants to break free but Matador has control.

Matador lands a good knee to the midsection. Hanson won't want to take too many of those. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Matador with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Matador is looking to control Hanson's arms but Hanson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Matador has his back to the ropes. Matador is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hanson is defending well for now. Matador looks gassed! Matador on the wrong end of a nice hook. Matador takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hanson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Matador with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hanson to score with a decent uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Hanson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Fred Matador's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Hanson swats away the attempt to clinch by Matador. The fight stays on the outside here - Matador looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Matador takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Left hook, right uppercut from Hanson. Hanson lands a slapping body shot.
Hanson lands with a big left! Matador is wobbled badly! Hanson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Matador to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
