Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichirai Hoshi!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoshi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alves pinned against the cage. Alves gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Some wild striking there from Alves.
Alves misses with a two punch combination.
Hoshi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hoshi shoots in and drives through. Alves sprawls well.
Steve Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichirai Hoshi.
Alves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Alves swinging wilding here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch combination from Alves misses.
Alves looks to land a combination. Hoshi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Ichirai Hoshi has been cut.

Nice shot lands for Alves.
Hoshi drops his hands momentarily and Alves takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hoshi is rocked!
Alves steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Hoshi is out on his feet! Alves sets himself and nearly takes Hoshi's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
