The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downey tries to clinch up.
Downey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Richardson defends it nicely.
Richardson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Richardson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Richardson slips a jab from Downey.
Richardson moves out of range of the strikes.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Richardson. Downey shrugs it off though.
Downey looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Richardson throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Downey crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
