Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Hinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hinton is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pantera - Mouth For War. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Kerr! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marvin Hinton! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerr closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kerr scoring with punches and elbows. Kerr prevents Hinton from escaping the position. Hinton on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Hinton sneaks back into half guard. Kerr thows a huge punch but Hinton dodges it nicely.
Kerr is breathing heavily. Hinton is trying to stand up here but Kerr is controlling him well. Hinton misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Hinton wants to improve his position but Kerr is controlling well.
Hinton is pressing down on Kerr's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Hinton trying to control the position.
Hinton wants to stand but Kerr is controlling the position. Hinton uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Hinton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kerr moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kerr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hinton as he avoids it easily. Good standup being displayed there by Hinton as he connects with a hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Kerr takes one on the button. Kerr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hinton misses with an elbow from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerr lands a nice forearm strike. Kerr lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hinton down.
Hinton takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Kerr working the ground and pound from side control.
Hinton is rocked! Hinton is pushing Kerr's head away, looking to escape. Kerr manages to hold on to the position though. Kerr is working Hinton over with some ground and pound from side control. Hinton is still in real trouble! Can Kerr finish him? Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hinton taking punishment in the form of punches.
Hinton is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hinton is looking for a sweep. Kerr is putting a hurting on Hinton here, landing some big shots from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ground and pound from Kerr seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Hinton takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Hinton seems to have recovered his senses. Hinton is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kerr is controlling him well. Hinton tries to buck Kerr off but Kerr is having none of it. Hinton wants to get back to his feet. Kerr avoids the strikes from the bottom by Hinton.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hinton dodges the ground and pound from Kerr.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hinton throws a right hand that Kerr ducks under and follows up with a left that Kerr also avoids with ease. Kerr drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kerr landing some decent shots from guard. Kerr is working Hinton over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hinton manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
A nice elbow there by Hinton. Kerr slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hinton decides to return to a standing position. Kerr scores a takedown into full mount! Kerr lands with some strikes. Hinton is trying desperately to improve position. Hinton is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Kerr postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Hinton in real trouble here! The ref calls for Hinton to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kevin Kerr! Kevin Kerr is the new heavyweight champion!
