Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Barking! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Conde Koma! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koma lunges at Barking with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Barking's hand. Koma tries to clinch but Barking moves out of range. Koma gets a takedown into half guard. Koma is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Barking doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Koma. Koma seems to be working for a kimura but Barking defends the submission attempt. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Barking is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Barking has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Koma escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Koma! Barking is looking to reverse the position. Koma tries to stand but Barking is controlling his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barking is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barking has one foot on Koma's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Koma tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barking paws at him with a jab and circles away. Koma wants to clinch up but Barking keeps it at a distance. Koma closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Barking jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Koma walks away with a smile on his face. Barking gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Koma. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Koma fails with a takedown attempt. Barking keeps the fight on the outside. Koma pushes Barking up against the cage in a clinch. Barking jumps guard but Koma stands there with Barking around his waist. Barking gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Barking gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Barking. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barking shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Koma as he jumps to the side. No luck with that takedown attempt from Koma. Koma instigates a clinch.

Koma lands with a short head shot on the inside. Koma with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Koma effectively controlling the action here. Koma creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Barking's defenses. Barking prevents a takedown attempt there.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Koma takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nice elbow from Koma. Koma has Barking pressed against the cage, preventing Barking from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Koma wants a takedown but no success here.
A frustrated look appears on Barking's face as he tries to break the clinch. Barking jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Koma walks away with a smile on his face. Barking gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Barking has his takedown stuffed and Koma counters with a two punch combo. Koma fails in his attempt to clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Koma. Koma wants to stand but Barking is controlling his arm. Barking gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Koma maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Barking could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Koma has cracked it and Barking is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Koma!
