Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Revilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Revilla comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Phenomenon- Thousand Foot Krutch kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chris Sanders has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Sanders! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Revilla! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Revilla shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanders but Sanders pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sanders connects with the punch. Sanders closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Revilla is rocked! Revilla looks gassed! Sanders decides to stand back up. Revilla gets caught flat footed, as Sanders shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Revilla is still in real trouble! Can Sanders finish him? We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Revilla can do anything to dispel that myth. Sanders tries to free his leg and advance position but Revilla is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanders keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Revilla's head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanders accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Revilla seems to have recovered his senses. Sanders controls from within his opponent's guard. Revilla has a closed guard, preventing Sanders from standing up. Sanders is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sanders is looking to stand up but Revilla won't let him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanders looking to pass the guard. Sanders working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Revilla's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Revilla had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sanders is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Revilla Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sanders's back instead. Sanders manages to reverse the position and now he's in Revilla's guard. Nice work there by Sanders.
Revilla looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanders is one step ahead there. Revilla lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sanders! Sanders in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Sanders is in all sorts of trouble here.
Revilla controlling the pace for now. Sanders is looking to improve his position but Revilla isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanders is working hard here to advance position. Revilla manages to capitalize on a mistake by Sanders to take his back! Revilla controlling well, preventing Sanders from escaping the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Revilla lands shots from the back. Sanders manages to reverse the position and now he's in Revilla's guard. Nice work there by Sanders.
Sanders landing some decent shots from guard. Sanders stands and steps away. Revilla gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sanders swinging wilding here.
Sanders lands a front kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sanders scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Sanders misses with a takedown and Revilla holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanders wants a takedown but no success here.
Revilla prevents Sanders from breaking the clinch. Sanders breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sanders throws a big shot that misses. Sanders looks to throw the jab but Revilla is out of range. Revilla shoots and misses and Sanders connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sanders.
Donk. Sanders catches Revilla right on the button with a cross. Sanders changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Revilla tries to avoid it but Sanders manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Revilla to the ground. Revilla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Sanders. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanders takes a swing at Revilla's ribcage but misses. Revilla lands a head kick!
Revilla scores with a takedown into Sanders's guard. Revilla gets to his feet - Sanders follows without any prompting. Sanders gets a powerful takedown and that's hurt Revilla. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanders decides to stand back up. Revilla has his takedown stuffed and Sanders makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Sanders gets a takedown into half guard. Revilla is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sanders scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanders stands up from half guard. Sanders tries a head kick but it misses.
Revilla gets the takedown into side control. Sanders gets back to half guard. Sanders is trying to control but can't.
Sanders has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Revilla is trying to control the action in half guard but Sanders is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sanders kicks Revilla off and gets back to his feet. Sanders fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sanders lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Sanders!
