Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mario Ribeiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leroy Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jenkins tries to clinch but Ribeiro moves out of range. Jenkins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jenkins wants it to stay on the feet. Jenkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Leroy Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ribeiro looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ribeiro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ribeiro wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving. Ribeiro forces his way into half guard. Ribeiro is trying to control the action in half guard but Jenkins is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ribeiro seems to be looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jenkins is just riding it out for now. Ribeiro eventually gives up the hold. Ribeiro works his way into side control. Jenkins tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ribeiro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jenkins wants to control but Ribeiro postures up. Ribeiro is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jenkins looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ribeiro gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jenkins is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ribeiro lets go of the hold and Jenkins can pop his arm back in it's socket.
