The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones closes the distance and pushes Burns back into the cage.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Burns takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Jones using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Burns has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Burns's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Burns lands a jab.

Burns lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Burns thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jones tries to pull guard but Burns holds him up against the cage and eventually Jones drops back down to his feet.
Peter Jones seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Jones wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Burns does a little dance to reset his feet.

Burns lands a big head kick that sends Jones tumbling to the mat! Burns takes a step backwards and waves Jones back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones tries for a takedown but Burns sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Burns lands a nice shot that snaps Jones's head back.

Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Burns.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Monty Burns is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Burns counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Burns to acknowledge the strikes.
Jones lands a nice hook to Burns's body. Burns takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jones moves out of range of the leg kick from Burns.
Burns waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Jones.
Jones fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jones blocks a head kick by Burns.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burns swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jones clinches up with Burns and pushes him back against the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Burns obliges.
Burns is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Burns throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Burns.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burns sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.

Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Burns sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burns is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Burns connects with a knee to the head.

Burns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Burns gets caught flat footed, as Jones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Burns is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Burns works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jones wanted to stand there but Burns had control of the position.

Jones throwing strikes from guard but Burns blocks nicely.
Burns wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.
Jones wants to get up but he can't break Burns's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Burns dives on top into guard.

Burns stands up from guard. Let's bang!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Jones pushes Burns up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones stalling in the clinch but Burns improves position.

Burns breaks from the clinch.
Burns connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Burns pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Burns connects with a body shot.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Burns circles away from the clinch attempt.
Burns throws a head kick that misses.
Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Jones tries to clinch but Burns moves away
and Burns cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jones tries to clinch but Burns moves away
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Burns tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Burns didn't expect that.

Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Burns is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard.
Burns is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones is trying to keep Burns in close.

Jones throws his legs up looking for a submission but Burns uses it to pass to side control.

Burns has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones avoids the head kick by Burns.
The fighters circling - Burns throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Burns back into the cage.
Burns is trying to stall.
Burns avoiding damage as Jones throws knees to the body.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Burns smiles and moves away.
Burns tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Burns will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jones punching from mount but Burns doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Burns really wants to buck Jones off and get back to his feet.
Burns prevents Jones from taking his back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
