Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Crier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Warren Raithert!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crier throws a body punch but Raithert moves out of range.
Crier ducks right into an uppercut from Raithert.
It looks like Johnny Crier has been cut.
Crier has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Raithert works the jab nicely.
Crier slips under a jab from Raithert.
Raithert throws the left hand but Crier avoids the punch easily.
Nice cross by Raithert.
Crier is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Crier shoots for a takedown but Raithert saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Oh Crier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Raithert fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Crier seems to have got his legs back now.
Crier is breathing heavily.
Crier shoots in looking for a takedown. Raithert tries to sprawl out of it but Crier keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Raithert manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnny Crier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raithert bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Crier's head.
Johnny Crier's cut is getting worse.
Raithert connects with a nice cross there... Crier is looking wobbly and Raithert recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Crier to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Raithert jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Warren Raithert!
