Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Ijeski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aleks Ijeski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Stevens! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ijeski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stevens's waist but Stevens gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ijeski off to one side. Ijeski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stevens's half guard. Ijeski throwing shots but Stevens is blocking nicely. Stevens tries to get to full guard but Ijeski has control of the leg. Stevens is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Stevens wants to control but Ijeski is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ijeski tries to stand but can't do so whilst Stevens controls his leg. Stevens is controlling Ijeski's trapped leg to prevent Ijeski from advancing to side control. Ijeski is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Stevens fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ijeski, pushing him back against the cage. Stevens tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ijeski smiles and moves away.
Stevens misses with a takedown attempt and Ijeski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stevens's guard now. Stevens pushes Ijeski off and scrambles back to his feet.
Stevens clinches but Ijeski breaks the clinch and Ijeski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ijeski. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ijeski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stevens looking for a guillotine here but Ijeski defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ijeski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stevens pushes Ijeski off and scrambles back to his feet.
Stevens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ijeski was well out of range. Poor timing from Stevens. Ijeski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stevens counters by moving into the clinch. Ijeski has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stevens is trying to keep an underhook but Ijeski manages to get the takedown into half guard. Stevens is not content to let Ijeski control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ijeski not doing much here.
Stevens is looking to control Ijeski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stevens avoid being mounted? Ijeski wants to stand but Stevens has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Stevens trying to control but Ijeski postures up.
Ijeski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stevens is looking to control Ijeski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stevens avoid being mounted? Ijeski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stevens does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ijeski closes the distance and clinches. Ijeski jumps guard but Stevens stands there with Ijeski around his waist. Ijeski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleks Ijeski. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stevens wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stevens manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aleks Ijeski dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Stevens clinches up against the cage. Stevens manages to break the clinch.
Ijeski misses with a takedown and Stevens counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ijeski! Stevens has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ijeski's face.
Ijeski wants to hold on but Stevens pushes him away. Ijeski can't escape the position.
Stevens can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ijeski is looking to escape. Stevens lands a heavy elbow. Ijeski has given up his back here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ijeski is keeping busy.
Stevens is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Stevens is trying to control but Ijeski is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Stevens is standing up, even though he is in mount. Ijeski tries to clinch but Stevens moves away and Stevens counters with a thumping low kick. Stevens looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ijeski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ijeski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stevens has escaped the position, nice work there. Ijeski just content to control the position. Stevens manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ijeski's best efforts. Stevens trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ijeski passes the guard and advances to mount! Stevens tries to reverse the position but Ijeski maintains control. Ijeski stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Stevens dodges the punch combination from Ijeski.
Stevens lands a jab-cross combination. Ijeski misses with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stevens forces Ijeski back against the cage and clinches. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Stevens as Ijeski tries to tie him up. Stevens manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ijeski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stevens swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stevens is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Stevens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Stevens is looking to clinch. Stevens bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ijeski is not content to let Stevens control the position. Ijeski is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Aleks Ijeski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ijeski sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Stevens is working for a submission of some sort.
Ijeski is pressing down on Stevens's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens throwing strikes from guard but Ijeski blocks nicely. Ijeski is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Ijeski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Stevens is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Stevens flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ijeski in particular looking to stall. Stevens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ijeski passes to side control. Stevens seems a little lost for a moment, as Ijeski dominates the positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ijeski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Ijeski tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Stevens is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ijeski off and has taken his back! Stevens lands a shot to the body. Ijeski tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Ijeski wants to control but Stevens is having none of it. Stevens wants to control the pace but Ijeski is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ijeski tries to hold on but Stevens pushes him away. Stevens lands with some strikes. Ijeski really wants to buck Stevens off and get back to his feet. Stevens trying to control but Ijeski is having none of it. Ijeski wants to hold on but Stevens pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stevens unloading with bombs!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aleks Ijeski. I think Ijeski has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
