Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Oh Well. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sam Hung has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hung wants to improve his position but Smith is controlling well.
Smith throws a strike but Hung avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Smith shoots in but Hung avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hung throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hung tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hung is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Smith wants to control from the top but Hung keeps moving.
Smith loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Smith looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hung with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hung is stalling here. Smith is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hung seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Smith has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
