Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Oliviera Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bill Butler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Butler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santiago Oliviera Nogueira! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler throws a sloppy head kick and Nogueira moves out of range easily. Butler throws a head kick but Nogueira moves out of range.
Nogueira shoots in looking for a takedown. Butler tries to sprawl out of it but Nogueira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Butler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Butler tries to close the distance and clinch but Nogueira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Butler leaves Nogueira with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nogueira fails with a takedown attempt. Bill Butler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Oliviera Nogueira. Butler thumps Nogueira with a low kick. Butler scores with a jab. Butler looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butler tries a head kick but it misses.
Butler fails to land with a series of punches.
Nogueira scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Nogueira is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Butler is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nogueira wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Butler, who protects the arm well. Nogueira goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Butler rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Nogueira's guard! Nice work there by Butler! Nogueira looks gassed! Butler is stalling in the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nogueira keeping moving, preventing Butler from controlling successfully. Butler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nogueira on the ground. Nogueira is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nogueira working for a triangle but Butler defends it easily.
Butler gets to his feet - Nogueira follows without any prompting. Nogueira shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Butler throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Butler. Nogueira shrugs it off though. Butler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Butler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nogueira tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Butler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Butler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Butler lands in his opponent's guard. Nogueira looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Nogueira looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Butler gets to his feet - Nogueira follows without any prompting. Butler gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Butler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nogueira scores a takedown into full mount! Nogueira moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Butler has worked his arm free - good work by Butler!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nogueira is trying to get an arm triangle but Butler is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Butler dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Butler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Butler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nogueira paws at him with a jab and circles away. Butler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nogueira misses with a takedown attempt and Butler counters with a flying knee. Nice. Butler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nogueira takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Butler gets a takedown into half guard. Nogueira looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nogueira is looking to improve his position.
Nogueira is pressing down on Butler's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Nogueira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Butler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Butler stands up and waves to Nogueira to follow him. Butler fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butler tries to move into range but Nogueira moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Nogueira lands a really nice looking cross but Butler seems unphased.
Some bone on bone action there as Nogueira checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Nogueira shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Nogueira is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Butler defends it well. Butler is pressing down on Nogueira's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butler can't keep his opponent in guard - Nogueira advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Butler makes his way to full guard, as Nogueira worked for a kimura.
Nogueira drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Butler dives on top into guard. Butler trying to control the position from guard on top but Nogueira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nogueira is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Butler is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nogueira working for a triangle but Butler defends it easily.
Butler seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Butler is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nogueira has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Butler is looking to defend but Nogueira has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Butler! Nogueira pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Butler taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Santiago Oliviera Nogueira!
