The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson thows a body shot but no joy.
Pearson blocks a jab.
DeBlunt throws a right hand that Pearson ducks under and follows up with a left that Pearson also avoids with ease.
Pearson closes the distance and clinches up with DeBlunt, looking for a takedown. Pearson pushes DeBlunt against the ropes but DeBlunt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
DeBlunt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
DeBlunt misses with a looping right.
Pearson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from DeBlunt.

Pearson shoots for a double leg takedown but DeBlunt sprawls well. He's pushed Pearson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

DeBlunt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pearson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pearson dives in and grabs DeBlunt's left leg, looking for a takedown. DeBlunt pushes down on Pearson's head and hops out.

DeBlunt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
