Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between question mark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Echavarria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, question mark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hector Echavarria! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Echavarria fails with a takedown attempt from distance. mark closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Echavarria dodges the ground and pound from mark. mark throwing strikes but Echavarria manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Echavarria looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Echavarria wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by mark, who protects the arm well. mark is looking to regain half guard here but Echavarria keeps moving and retains side control. Echavarria tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. mark can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. mark is trying to get back to half guard. Echavarria goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, mark rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Echavarria's guard! Nice work there by mark! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Echavarria keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. mark has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. mark tries to free his leg and advance position but Echavarria is retaining full guard. Echavarria should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. mark sitting in guard, not really doing much. mark knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Echavarria on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Echavarria has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but mark can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Echavarria looks gassed! mark working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Echavarria looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. mark lands a couple of decent looking shots. mark wants to control from the top but Echavarria keeps moving. mark tries to stand but Echavarria is controlling from the bottom. mark not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Echavarria working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from mark.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. mark closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - mark lands in his opponent's guard. Echavarria looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
mark pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Echavarria is keeping the position for now. Echavarria had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. mark is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Echavarria Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take mark's back instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that question mark will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
mark doesn't succeed with the takedown and Echavarria counters with a nice double leg into side control. mark won't be happy with that. mark tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Echavarria presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Echavarria has control of mark's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and mark regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Echavarria wants to take his opponent's back but instead mark manages to regain half guard. mark wants to control but Echavarria is keeping busy and won't allow it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Echavarria is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, mark has managed to free his arm - good work. Echavarria seems to be working for a kimura but mark defends the submission attempt. Echavarria is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so mark is just riding it out for now. Echavarria eventually gives up the hold. mark works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Echavarria postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! mark is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Echavarria, into his guard. mark slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Echavarria wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. mark in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Echavarria is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. mark decides to stand back up. mark steps back and let's Echavarria get back to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from mark. Echavarria defends well against a solid takedown attempt from mark. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for question mark. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice takedown defense from mark. No joy for Echavarria on that attempt. Echavarria with a poor takedown and mark counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Echavarria's guard now. mark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Echavarria keeping moving, preventing mark from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Echavarria looking for a guillotine here but mark defends easily.
Echavarria is looking to sinch up a triangle. mark throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Echavarria's body to avoid the submission. Echavarria has instead reached around mark's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Echavarria arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
