Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hades Fire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hades Fire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Hunter! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fire swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fire will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fire catches Hunter with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Hunter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fire to score with a decent uppercut. Fire fails with the takedown. Fire is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hunter. Fire looks to land a combination but Hunter avoids it well. Hunter scores with a takedown into Fire's guard. Fire pushes Hunter off and scrambles back to his feet.
Hunter lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fire backs up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fire shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hunter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter trying to control the position from guard on top but Fire is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hunter looking to pass the guard. Fire is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hunter trying to control but Fire is working from the bottom. Fire wants to get back to his feet but Hunter is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fire is breathing heavily. Fire looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunter is one step ahead there. Hunter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fire is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hunter is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunter controlling from the top position. Hunter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fire is keeping the position for now. Hunter trying to control but Fire is working from the bottom. Fire might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hunter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter rushes Fire and presses him up against the cage. Fire tries to break free but Hunter pushes him back against the cage. Hunter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Fire falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hunter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fire! Fire is trying to escape the mount.
Hunter lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hunter connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fire is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hunter scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Fire?
Hunter raining down shots from the mount! Hunter controlling from mount. Fire tries to lock up and control but Hunter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hunter controlling the pace for now. Fire wants to hold on but Hunter pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Hunter dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A jab from Fire finds it's way through Hunter's defenses. Hunter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hunter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fire shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hunter as he jumps to the side. Fire misses with a wild combination.
Fire throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hunter counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fire is lucky that one didn't land flush. Hunter shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fire manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hunter won't allow Fire to sweep him here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hunter is pushing down on Fire's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fire is fighting to maintain full guard but Hunter has managed to sneak the leg through. Fire keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter thows a huge punch but Fire dodges it nicely.
Hunter is working for a kimura but Fire is defending it quite comfortably.
Fire is trying to maintain the position but Hunter is very close to passing his half guard. Hunter is looking to advance position but Fire won't allow it. Fire is looking to escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fire connects with a body shot. Fire throws a one two combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A combination from Fire does no damage. Fire misses with a series of wild punches.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Hunter. Hunter taking a break here but Fire is having none of it and regains half guard. Hunter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fire knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Fire tries to kick Hunter off but Hunter keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Fire is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fire with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Fire is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hunter is keen to just control but Fire is a slippery customer. Hunter is looking for a kimura but Fire is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hunter to get the leverage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fire throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hunter gets the takedown into side control. Hunter postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Fire tries to bench press Hunter off him but Hunter keeps the position. Hunter working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Hunter trying to control the position but Fire is working away. You can see the frustration on Fire's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter controlling the position. Matt Hunter has got the better of the ground game so far. Hunter wants to stand but Fire has his arm trapped. Fire sneaks out the side door and pushes Hunter away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Hades Fire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fire misses with a few strikes there.
Hunter shoots in but no luck this time. Hunter fails with the takedown and Fire counters with a nice double leg into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Hunter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Fire throws a right hand that Hunter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hunter also avoids with ease. Fire ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Hunter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fire counters with a stiff right hand. Hunter fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fire misses with a wild combination.
Fire shoots and misses and Hunter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fire! Hunter goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Fire is on top in guard.
Fire wants to pass the guard but Hunter is keeping the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter keeping moving, preventing Fire from controlling successfully. Hunter can't keep his opponent in guard - Fire advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hunter is trying to maintain the position but Fire is very close to passing his half guard. Well, if Fire is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fire looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Fire is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hunter has managed to free his arm - good work. Fire is keen to just control but Hunter is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter is trying to maintain the position but Fire is very close to passing his half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fire throws a right and a left that Hunter avoids nicely. Hunter shoots and misses and Fire counters with a stiff right hand. Hades Fire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Hunter. Fire tries to bum rush Hunter with a series of wild strikes but Hunter uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hunter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fire sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hunter somewhat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fire tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hunter swivels and escapes. Fire tries to keep at a distance but Hunter has taken the fight into the clinch. Hunter is stalling here.
Fire is trying to force a seperation but Hunter has the dominant position. Hunter prevents Fire from breaking the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Fire's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Matt Hunter. Well Hunter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
