Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vanderson Silvva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaden Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vanderson Silvva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaden Drake!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvva checks a leg kick.
Drake fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silvva avoids it really well and circles away.

Silvva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silvva lands in his opponent's guard.

Drake is working an open guard so Silvva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Drake throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Vanderson Silvva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silvva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Drake!
Silvva thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Drake wants to hold on but Silvva pushes him away.

Silvva thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Drake working to try and regain half guard.
Silvva throwing strikes here but Drake is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Drake is squirming around, avoiding Silvva's attempts to control the action.
Silvva sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Silvva misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Silvva throwing strikes here but Drake is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Drake is in all sorts of trouble here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silvva working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Drake tries to hold on but Silvva pushes him away.
Drake slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Drake tries to roll over but Silvva keeps him under control.
Drake is refusing to be controlled, as Silvva sits in half guard.

Drake looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Drake looks gassed!

Drake is not content to let Silvva control the position.
Silvva controlling the action here.

Drake looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silvva missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Drake wants to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Drake tries for a takedown but Silvva circles away easily

and Silvva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Drake won't be happy with that.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Drake tries to buck Silvva off but Silvva is having none of it.
Silvva sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Drake is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Drake defending against the ground and pound.
Drake is not content to let Silvva control the position.
Silvva throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Silvva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silvva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Silvva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vanderson Silvva dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Drake with a lazy takedown attempt

and Silvva counters with a takedown into side control.
Silvva working away.
Silvva tries to score with some ground and pound. Drake controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Silvva throws an elbow but Drake slips to the side and avoids it well.

Silvva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Silvva tries to close the distance and clinch but Drake swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Silvva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Silvva.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Drake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silvva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silvva is stalling in the full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Drake trying to control the position.
Silvva throws a big right hand that misses.
Silvva wants to control from the top but Drake keeps moving.
Vanderson Silvva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Silvva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Silvva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Silvva has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Drake misses with a takedown attempt

and Silvva counters with a single leg into guard. Drake didn't expect that.
Vanderson Silvva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaden Drake.

Drake has his foot on Silvva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silvva works his way back into a safe position though.
Drake looking for a sweep. Not yet Drake, not yet.
Silvva thows a big elbow that misses.

Drake had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silvva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Drake Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silvva's back instead.

Drake looking to break Silvva's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Silvva remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Drake will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Drake is not going to allow Silvva to sit and survive in this position.

Drake is working for a rear naked choke. Silvva is not defending it well and Drake has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Silvva refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Silvva's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kaden Drake!
