Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Gostoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Pulambrat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matheus Gostoso has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matheus Gostoso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Pulambrat! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gostoso throws a sloppy head kick and Pulambrat moves out of range easily. Gostoso shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pulambrat defends it nicely. Gostoso tries a head kick but it misses.
Pulambrat drives through with a takedown into guard. Pulambrat controls from within his opponent's guard. Pulambrat has gone for a leg lock! Gostoso slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pulambrat's guard. Gostoso stopping the sweep attempt from Pulambrat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pulambrat seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Gostoso wants to stand but Pulambrat is controlling his posture from full guard. Pulambrat tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gostoso really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pulambrat trying to keep a closed guard but Gostoso is proving a slippery customer.
Gostoso wants to stand but Pulambrat has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Pulambrat is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pulambrat trying to control the position.
Gostoso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pulambrat on the ground. Pulambrat is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Pulambrat is trying to drag Gostoso to the mat but Gostoso just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pulambrat tries to circle away but Gostoso has him pinned against the cage. Pulambrat tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gostoso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pulambrat shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gostoso but Gostoso pushes him off and we're back to square one. Matheus Gostoso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Pulambrat. Pulambrat closes the distance and clinches up with Gostoso, looking for a takedown. Pulambrat pushes Gostoso against the cage but Gostoso circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pulambrat looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gostoso fails with a takedown attempt. Gostoso throws a head kick but Pulambrat moves out of range.
Pulambrat shoots in and bounces Gostoso off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Gostoso has a closed guard, preventing Pulambrat from standing up. Gostoso keeping moving, preventing Pulambrat from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pulambrat passes easily into side control. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Pulambrat dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pulambrat shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gostoso manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gostoso wants to stand and escape but Pulambrat is having none of it. Pulambrat wants to control from the top but Gostoso keeps moving. Pulambrat drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Pulambrat as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Gostoso screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Pulambrat! Nice submission victory there!
