Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aries Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Oh Lets Do it by waka flocka flame. Gunnar Nelson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nelson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Santos has closed the distance and engaged Nelson in a clinch.

Santos thows a huge punch but Nelson dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Santos lands a nice short elbow.

Santos scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Santos closes the distance and pushes Nelson back into the cage.
Santos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nelson walks away with a smile on his face. Santos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Nelson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Santos won't be happy with that.

A close second round but Gunnar Nelson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Nelson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Santos manages to get himself to full guard.
Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nelson drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Nelson off! Nelson jumps back into Santos's guard.

Nelson wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.

Nelson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Santos wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nelson on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Santos stops Nelson from passing to mount.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Nelson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Santos has escaped the position, nice work there.

I would just about give that final round to Gunnar Nelson.
