Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Pointon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noor Daoud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Pointon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Noor Daoud! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pointon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Daoud's waist but Daoud gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pointon off to one side. Daoud swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pointon slaps away a takedown attempt from Daoud, before circling back to the center of the mat. A lazy left from Pointon finds it's target. A cross from Daoud lands. Pointon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Daoud throws out the jab. A decent looking cross lands there for Pointon. Pointon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Pointon tries to bum rush Daoud with a series of wild strikes but Daoud uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pointon scores with a nice strike. Pointon scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Pointon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daoud moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pointon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Daoud moves out of range as Pointon strikes. Daoud keeps the fight on the outside. Daoud fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pointon. Daoud doesn't manage to clinch there - Pointon circles away.
Pointon misses with a takedown attempt - Daoud sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pointon is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daoud drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pointon seems a little lost for a moment, as Daoud dominates the positioning. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daoud's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Daoud is looking to take a break and control but Pointon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Daoud has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Pointon! Daoud sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Pointon avoids a series of strikes thrown by Daoud.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pointon squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pointon is squirming around, avoiding Daoud's attempts to control the action. Daoud looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Daoud cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Daoud trying to control but Pointon is having none of it. Daoud manages to capitalize on a mistake by Pointon to take his back! Pointon trying to control but not successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pointon grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Daoud controls the action. Daoud is trying to stick to Pointon's back but Pointon is turning into Daoud. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Daoud's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pointon. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pointon throwing strikes but missing. Daoud tries to strike from the bottom.
Daoud pulls Pointon in close to his closed guard and prevents Pointon from doing any damage or advancing position. Pointon is looking to work some ground and pound but Daoud has wrist control. Daoud has a closed guard, preventing Pointon from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Daoud looking for a sweep. Not yet Daoud, not yet. Daoud avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Excellent takedown into side control there by Daoud. Pointon struggling a bit here. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Daoud trying to control the position but Pointon is working away. Pointon being controlled for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ross Pointon will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Daoud slips under a jab from Pointon. Daoud drops his hands momentarily and Pointon takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Pointon shoots in for a takedown but Daoud shows good takedown defense. Daoud gets the takedown into side control. Daoud decides to take the fight back to the feet. Pointon looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Daoud closes the distance and clinches up with Pointon, looking for a takedown. Daoud pushes Pointon against the cage but Pointon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A punch combination from Pointon misses. Daoud scores a takedown into full mount! Daoud is working for a guillotine from mount but Pointon frees his head quite easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daoud lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Daoud can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pointon is looking to escape. Daoud unloads with some shots from mount but Pointon bucks and avoids them well.

Pointon wants to try and get back to his feet. Daoud controlling the position easily from mount. Daoud has control of Pointon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pointon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pointon trying desperately to get to his feet.
Daoud tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. A nice elbow there by Daoud. Pointon wants to control but Daoud is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pointon defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Daoud. Daoud wants to finish this one by submission but Pointon is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Daoud. Pointon is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Pointon tries to lock up and control but Daoud gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pointon trying desperately to get to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Daoud lands a big shot there that rocks Pointon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Daoud avoids the attempt from Pointon to control. Daoud content just to control the position here. Pointon really wants to buck Daoud off and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Noor Daoud showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Daoud instigates a clinch. Pointon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pointon lands with a straight right. Daoud didn't see that one coming. Daoud tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pointon swivels and escapes. Pointon misses with a wild combination.
Pointon gets caught flat footed, as Daoud shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Pointon is looking to stand up but Daoud isn't so interested in that idea. Daoud controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Pointon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pointon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Daoud is controlling him. Daoud decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pointon, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round. Daoud is looking to clinch. Pointon misses with a double jab
and Daoud counters by moving into the clinch. Come on Daoud - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Daoud displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pointon. Pointon throws a big shot that misses. Ross Pointon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pointon keeps the fight on the outside. Pointon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Daoud avoids it really well and circles away. Daoud is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pointon's half guard. Daoud is trying to control. Pointon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pointon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pointon has hold of Daoud's hands but Daoud slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Noor Daoud has got the better of the ground game so far. Daoud slows the pace down in half guard. Pointon is refusing to be controlled, as Daoud sits in half guard. Daoud throwing shots but Pointon is blocking nicely. Daoud wants to control but Pointon is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pointon manages to escape and get back to his feet! Pointon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Daoud decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pointon's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ross Pointon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pointon trying to keep a closed guard but Daoud is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Daoud controls from within his opponent's guard. Pointon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Daoud is controlling him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Daoud shoots in and bounces Pointon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Noor Daoud comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Daoud has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
