Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ziggy McAllister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sol Rosenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rosenberg has chosen I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sol Rosenberg!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosenberg fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rosenberg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McAllister has his takedown stuffed

so Rosenberg counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rosenberg stopping the sweep attempt from McAllister.

McAllister has a closed guard, preventing Rosenberg from standing up.
McAllister looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rosenberg is one step ahead there.

McAllister escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rosenberg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McAllister is controlling Rosenberg's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McAllister working for a triangle but Rosenberg defends it easily.
McAllister trying to keep a closed guard but Rosenberg is proving a slippery customer.

McAllister escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rosenberg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McAllister is breathing heavily.
Rosenberg trying to control the position from guard on top but McAllister is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rosenberg scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

McAllister is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Rosenberg scores with a shot to the side of McAllister's head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rosenberg takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
McAllister throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
McAllister misses with a knee strike.

McAllister jumps into guard, dragging Rosenberg to the mat.
Rosenberg wants to stand but McAllister is controlling his posture from full guard.

McAllister looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rosenberg passes into side control.
Rosenberg tries to stand but McAllister is controlling his head.

Rosenberg trying to control the action but McAllister is working from the bottom.
Rosenberg gets to mount! McAllister was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Rosenberg can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McAllister is looking to escape.
McAllister tries to lock up and control but Rosenberg gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rosenberg is stalling here but it's allowed McAllister to get half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sol Rosenberg will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



McAllister gets the takedown into side control.

McAllister trying to control the position but Rosenberg is working away.
Rosenberg is letting McAllister control him for a moment.
McAllister wants to take a breather but Rosenberg manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for McAllister.
McAllister stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rosenberg swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rosenberg wants to stand but McAllister is controlling the position.

McAllister controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

McAllister decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
McAllister tries for a takedown but Rosenberg circles away easily
and Rosenberg counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Rosenberg counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
McAllister looks to clinch

McAllister fails to pull guard.
With the fighters up against the cage, McAllister throws an elbow but misses.

Rosenberg wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McAllister has him pressed against the cage.
McAllister gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
McAllister lands an elbow inside that Rosenberg shrugs off.
Rosenberg lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McAllister backwards.
McAllister throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rosenberg blocks it with crossed arms.
McAllister stops a takedown attempt from Rosenberg.
McAllister throws an elbow but it misses.
McAllister connects with a knee to the head.
Rosenberg blocks the elbow strike.
With the fighters up against the cage, McAllister throws an elbow but misses.
McAllister tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rosenberg smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ziggy McAllister. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McAllister tries to keep at a distance but Rosenberg has taken the fight into the clinch.
with the fighters clinched against the cage, Rosenberg creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
McAllister shoots and misses

and Rosenberg counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McAllister!
McAllister is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rosenberg looking to control but McAllister is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
McAllister is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Rosenberg sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Rosenberg wants to control but instead McAllister manages to regain half guard.
Rosenberg wants to stand up but McAllister manages to regain full guard.

McAllister working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rosenberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rosenberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McAllister wants to get back to his feet but Rosenberg is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now McAllister is on top in guard.

McAllister gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

McAllister closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rosenberg can't do much from the bottom here.
Rosenberg wants to get back to his feet but McAllister drags him back down.

McAllister decides to stand back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McAllister misses with a takedown
and Rosenberg connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Rosenberg holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ziggy McAllister will probably get the nod.
That's time! McAllister's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Rosenberg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McAllister as he jumps to the side.

Rosenberg has closed the distance and engaged McAllister in a clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Rosenberg.
McAllister tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Rosenberg on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rosenberg lands a shoulder strike.
McAllister using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rosenberg has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
McAllister tries to pull guard but Rosenberg won't allow it.

McAllister misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rosenberg.
McAllister fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rosenberg has dropped down and is working for a takedown. McAllister is trying to keep an underhook but Rosenberg manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Rosenberg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McAllister lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rosenberg!
McAllister tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Rosenberg tries to lock up and control but McAllister gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
BOOM! McAllister connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rosenberg is squirming around, avoiding McAllister's attempts to control the action.
McAllister lands a nice shot to the head.
Rosenberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McAllister. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McAllister is in the full mount, landing strikes.

McAllister fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ziggy McAllister overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

McAllister is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Rosenberg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rosenberg lands in his opponent's guard.
Rosenberg seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Rosenberg wanted to stand there but McAllister had control of the position.
Rosenberg won't allow McAllister to get back to his feet.

Rosenberg turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rosenberg manages to end up in side control.
McAllister manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Rosenberg is tying to control. McAllister wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

McAllister is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Rosenberg pulls his head out easily.
McAllister works his way to full guard. Good work.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sol Rosenberg comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rosenberg has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
