Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuck Norris has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Norris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Gordon! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gordon leaves Norris with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gordon tries to clinch up. Gordon drops Norris with a beautiful combination! Norris stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gordon is looking for the KO!
Norris is rocked!
It looks like Chuck Norris has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gordon tries to close the distance and clinch but Norris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Oh Norris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Craig Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Norris avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Norris seems to have got his legs back now. Gordon feints and as Norris raises his hands in defense, Gordon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Norris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gordon chips away with some ground and pound. Norris will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Norris is breathing heavily. Gordon thows a big elbow that misses. Gordon postures up in Norris's guard and throws a big left but Norris blocks it. Gordon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Norris works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gordon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gordon throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Norris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Norris wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Gordon manages to pass to side control. Gordon winds up and cracks Norris with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Gordon is trying to work for a kimura but Norris is defending well.
Gordon looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gordon looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gordon throwing shots but Norris is blocking nicely. Norris is defending against the submission attempts here by Gordon.

Gordon drops an elbow to the side of Norris's head. Gordon scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Gordon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Norris does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gordon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gordon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gordon wants to take a breather but Norris is having none of it. Norris wants to control but Gordon is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gordon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Norris is positioning himself well to prevent Gordon advancing to mount. Norris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gordon is working away from the top position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gordon is trying to control the action in half guard but Norris is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Norris swats away the attempt to clinch by Gordon. Norris fails with the takedown and Gordon counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Gordon misses with the head strike.
Norris keeps control of Gordon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Norris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gordon scores with a shot to the side of Norris's head. Gordon just leaning against Norris, taking a breather. Gordon lands a hook to the side of the head. Norris dodges an elbow strike from Gordon.
Gordon jumps guard and drags Norris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gordon keeping moving, preventing Norris from controlling successfully. Norris wanted to stand there but Gordon had control of the position. Norris thows a big elbow that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gordon trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Gordon looking for a sweep. Not yet Gordon, not yet. Gordon throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Gordon doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gordon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Norris napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gordon wants to control but Norris is keeping him busy. Norris can't do much from the bottom here. The strikes coming from Gordon are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gordon lands a few punches from side control. Gordon scores with punches from side control. Norris gets back to half guard. Gordon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gordon trying to control from half guard but Norris is working away. Gordon throwing shots but Norris is blocking nicely. Gordon is stalling here. Norris is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gordon seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Norris has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Norris taking a breather here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Norris is working Gordon over with some ground and pound from side control. Gordon tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Norris presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Norris wants to control the pace but Gordon is squirming around nicely. Norris is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gordon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gordon tries to hold on but Norris postures up. Gordon is trying desperately to improve position. Norris wants to control the pace but Gordon is squirming around nicely. Gordon is trying desperately to improve position. Norris looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Norris is working for a guillotine from mount but Gordon frees his head quite easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Norris drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gordon pulls his leg out and moves away.

Norris misses with a takedown attempt and Gordon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gordon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gordon works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Gordon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Craig Gordon has got the better of the ground game so far. Gordon lands a heavy elbow. Gordon controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gordon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Gordon has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gordon lands a big elbow. Norris is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gordon working the ground and pound effectively.
Norris wants to control but Gordon is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gordon fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gordon looking to control but Norris is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Gordon goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Norris turns into him and now he's in Gordon's guard.
Gordon wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Norris is now in half guard. Chuck Norris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Norris content to control rather than advance. Craig Gordon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gordon keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Craig Gordon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gordon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
