Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shane Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Bulter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulter is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Smashed Into Pieces by Silverstein. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Bulter! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bulter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bulter lands in his opponent's guard. Murphy managing to control the position. Murphy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bulter throws a strike but Murphy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murphy trying to control but Bulter is working from the bottom. Murphy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bulter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bulter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy trying to control the position from guard on top but Bulter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murphy wants to stand and escape but instead Bulter has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Murphy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bulter is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Murphy throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Murphy looking for a sweep. Not yet Murphy, not yet. Murphy keeping moving, preventing Bulter from controlling successfully. Bulter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bulter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Murphy with a poor takedown and Bulter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Murphy's guard. Bulter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Murphy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Murphy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Murphy! Murphy is looking to take a break and control but Bulter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bulter struggling a bit here. Murphy looking to control but instead Bulter has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Murphy content to control rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Murphy wants to control but Bulter is keeping him busy. Bulter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Murphy wants to take a breather but Bulter is having none of it. Bulter regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Murphy. Bulter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Bulter dominated that round. That's time! Murphy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Murphy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bulter is trying to defend but Murphy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bulter is refusing to be controlled, as Murphy sits in half guard. Murphy has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Bulter works to full guard. Murphy has gone for a leg lock! Bulter slips out almost immediately though and dives into Murphy's guard. Bulter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Murphy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Murphy has escaped and now he's on top! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bulter pushes a forearm under Murphy's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Murphy is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
