Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Faishan Singsurat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Douglas Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Faishan Singsurat! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos tries to close the distance and clinch but Singsurat swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Horrible takedown by Santos or perhaps it was just good defense by Singsurat which made him look bad. Santos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Santos takes a little break here. Singsurat wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Santos trying to control the action but Singsurat is working from the bottom. Singsurat is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singsurat avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Santos. Santos is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Singsurat has escaped the position, nice work there. Santos in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Santos are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Santos tries for a kimura but Singsurat is defending well. Santos connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Singsurat some visible discomfort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos wants to control but Singsurat is keeping him busy. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Singsurat can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee asks Santos politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Santos prefers to stall for the moment though. Santos misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Santos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Singsurat is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Santos is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Santos decides to stand back up. Santos steps back and let's Singsurat get back to his feet. Singsurat lands a nice looking kick to the body. Santos takes a step back to recover. Douglas Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santos misses with the combination.
Santos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Singsurat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santos. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santos closes the distance looking to clinch and Singsurat counters with a head kick. Singsurat connects with a solid leg kick. Santos tries for a takedown but Singsurat circles away easily and Singsurat holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Douglas Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Singsurat as he jumps to the side. The fight stays on the outside here - Singsurat looks like he's thinking about clinching though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Faishan Singsurat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

That's going to take a lot out of him. Santos fails with a takedown attempt from distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singsurat tries to clinch but fails miserably and Santos counters with a one-two to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Santos swats away the attempt to clinch by Singsurat.
