Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clitory Cantonnais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clitory Cantonnais has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clitory Cantonnais!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cantonnais looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Johnson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cantonnais pinned against the cage. Cantonnais gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cantonnais scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Cantonnais throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cantonnais sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Clitory Cantonnais seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cantonnais shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense.
Cantonnais misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Johnson seems to have got his legs back now.

Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Johnson seems content to control.
Johnson is pressing down on Cantonnais's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cantonnais is holding on for now.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
