Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Demper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Demper swivels and escapes.

Cook decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Demper wants to improve his position but Cook is controlling well.
Demper is trying to maintain the position but Cook is very close to passing his half guard.
Demper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Demper has a hand on Cook's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Cook takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cook lands a nice short elbow.

Demper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cook's guard.

Cook throws a sloppy head kick and Demper moves out of range easily.

Demper changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cook looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Demper stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Demper throws a right hand that Cook ducks under and follows up with a left that Cook also avoids with ease.
Horrible takedown by Cook or perhaps it was just good defense by Demper which made him look bad.
Frankie Demper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Cook.
Cook fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frankie Demper will probably get the nod.

Demper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cook's waist but Cook gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Demper off to one side.
