Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leozinho Cunha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Todd Monkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leozinho Cunha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Todd Monkman! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monkman throws a one two combo.
It looks like Leozinho Cunha has been cut. Monkman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cunha looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Monkman in side control lands a decent elbow. Monkman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Monkman decides to take the fight back to the feet. Cunha tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Monkman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Monkman blocks a head kick by Cunha.
Monkman throws a nice inside leg kick. Cunha misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Monkman has Cunha up against the cage in a clinch.
Cunha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A head kick from Cunha lands but Monkman takes it in his stride.
It looks like Todd Monkman has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cunha tries to keep at a distance but Monkman has taken the fight into the clinch. Monkman stalls. Monkman blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Cunha lands an elbow that stopped Monkman in his tracks for a moment. Monkman scores with a shoulder strike. Cunha breaks from the clinch.
Cunha looks to clinch and Monkman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Monkman. Monkman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cunha is breathing heavily. Monkman works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cunha is trying to stand up here but Monkman is controlling him well. Monkman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Monkman stops Cunha from getting back to his feet.
Monkman decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Monkman pushes Cunha up against the cage in a clinch. Monkman gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Monkman tries to free his leg and advance position but Cunha is retaining full guard. Monkman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Monkman has managed to clinch.
Monkman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Monkman breaks the clinch.
Monkman drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monkman sitting in guard here, content to control. Cunha has his feet on Monkman's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Monkman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Monkman lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Cunha is trying to buck Monkman off. Cunha tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Cunha controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Good control from Monkman. Let's hope that Monkman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Cunha trying to get back to his feet but Monkman is in full control for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Monkman tightening his grip on Cunha, looking for the choke. Monkman is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Cunha defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Todd Monkman dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action!
Monkman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cunha's half guard. Monkman passes the guard and advances to mount! Monkman content just to control the position here. Monkman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monkman looking to control and managing it successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Monkman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cunha turns into him and now he's in Monkman's guard.
Cunha stands and steps away. Monkman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monkman shoots for a double leg takedown but Cunha sprawls well. He's pushed Monkman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Leozinho Cunha is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cunha pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Monkman misses with a low kick as Cunha jumps back. No luck with that takedown attempt from Monkman. Monkman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Leozinho Cunha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Todd Monkman. Cunha moves into the clinch successfully.
Monkman lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Monkman wants to stand but Cunha has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Todd Monkman has got the better of the ground game so far. Cunha keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cunha is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monkman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Monkman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Monkman stands up and beckons Cunha to join him on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Monkman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Cunha wants to get back to his feet. Monkman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Monkman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cunha is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Monkman grinds an elbow into Cunha's temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Todd Monkman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Cunha with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Monkman pulls Cunha into guard.
Cunha trying to stand up but can't free himself from Monkman's guard. Monkman wants to sweep here but Cunha controlling him for the moment. Monkman seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Cunha has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Monkman is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cunha avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cunha won't allow Monkman to sweep him here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cunha is looking to stand up but Monkman won't let him. Cunha could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Monkman holds on and takes a little breather. Monkman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Monkman scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cunha wants to stand but Monkman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Monkman pulls Cunha in close to prevent any damage. Monkman pushes Cunha off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Cunha gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Monkman to score an easy takedown into full guard. Monkman slips nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cunha is trying to stand.
Monkman is trying to work for a kimura but Cunha is defending well.
Monkman stands up out of the half guard. Nice sprawl there from Cunha as Monkman shoots in. Monkman takes a swing at Cunha's ribcage but misses. Monkman fails with the takedown. Cunha closes the distance looking to clinch and Monkman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cunha's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cunha is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Monkman is controlling him. Monkman is pushing down on Cunha's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cunha is fighting to maintain full guard but Monkman has managed to sneak the leg through. Monkman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cunha's head. Monkman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cunha does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Monkman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Monkman controlling the pace. Monkman is keen to just control but Cunha is a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! Todd Monkman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Monkman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
