The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Brown manages to work his way to half guard, despite Batista's best efforts.
Brown really is a fat lump.
Brown manages to get to full guard.
Batista throws and elbow that misses. Brown uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Batista's guard. Nice move by Brown!
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Batista is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Batista has an active guard here but Brown has managed to pass into half guard.
Brown trying to control from half guard but Batista is working away.
Batista looking for a kimura from the bottom but Brown passes into side control!
Batista is letting Brown control him for a moment.
Brown is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Batista is trying to escape and Brown transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Batista is forced to tap! Nice work there by Brown! Very nice indeed!
