Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between leandro piredda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, leandro piredda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
piredda really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

piredda is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.
piredda controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.
piredda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Johnson stands and steps away. piredda gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches piredda napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
piredda is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Johnson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Johnson not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Johnson thows a huge punch but piredda dodges it nicely.
piredda is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
piredda has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Johnson. Oh but piredda has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Johnson goes limp - he's gone! piredda jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
