Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kake Kelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy L (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Kake Kelli has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kake Kelli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy L!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has L pinned against the cage. L gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

L scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
L is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
L wants to pass to mount but Kelli is defending the position.

L decides to stand up.

and L counters with a takedown into side control.

L decides to stand back up. L steps back and let's Kelli get back to his feet.

and L counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kake Kelli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kelli is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

L kicks off Kelli and gets to his feet.

L shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kelli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
L takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kelli closes the distance looking to clinch

and L counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
L stays in close to Kelli's body and controls the position.
Kelli keeping moving, preventing L from controlling successfully.
Kelli wants to stand up but L is controlling him.

L gets to his feet - Kelli follows without any prompting.
Kelli shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

L shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than L was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

L has control of Kelli's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kelli regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kelli tries to buck L off but he can't manage it.
Kelli wants to hold on but L pushes him away.
Kelli is desperately trying to improve his position but L has a good base and remains in mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A nice elbow there by L.
Kelli is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
L wants to control but instead Kelli manages to regain half guard.
L seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

L is trying to control the action in half guard but Kelli is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kelli tries to roll over but L keeps him under control.
Kelli pushes L off looking to stand but L dives back in and keeps control.
L takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kelli looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kelli is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy L dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


L avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
L closes the distance and clinches up with Kelli, looking for a takedown. L pushes Kelli against the cage but Kelli circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kelli manages to pull guard.
Kelli avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
L looking to pass the guard.
L postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
L passes Kelli's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kelli is trying to maintain the position but L is very close to passing his half guard.

L slips a nice elbow through Kelli's hands, connecting with Kelli's forehead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

L looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Kelli is trying to maintain the position but L is very close to passing his half guard.
L is controlling the pace.
Andy L has got the better of the ground game so far.
L's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kelli is trying to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
L is nestled in close to Kelli, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
L is taking a breather. Kelli says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kelli moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
L is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
L wants to control from the top but Kelli keeps moving.

L advances position into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelli struggling a bit here.
L scoring with punches from side control.
L wants to control but Kelli is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Kelli's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
L postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
L wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kelli keeps working.
L wants to control for a moment but Kelli uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Andy L just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and L counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by L.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kake Kelli. That's going to take a lot out of him.

L breaks the clinch.

Kelli closes the distance and clinches.
Kelli scores a nice knee to the body.
L wants to break the clinch but can't.

L fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kelli sprawls well initially but L persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kelli flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

L throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy L showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

You can see the frustration on Kelli's face as L controls the position.
Oh Kelli is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
L advances nicely into full mount.
Kelli seems to have got his legs back now.
L trying to control but he's not successful this time.
L takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kelli is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

L looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kelli is working to get back to half guard.

L prevents Kelli from getting the reversal.

L jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kelli manages to avoid the submission attempt.
L wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kelli keeps working.
L lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kelli down.

L is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kelli is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
L controlling the position.

L tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no L has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

L trying to control the action but Kelli is working from the bottom.
Kelli manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
L is keen to just control but Kelli is a slippery customer.
L has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kelli is looking to control L's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kelli avoid being mounted?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

L stops Kelli from getting back to his feet.
L with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Kelli is pressing down on L's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
L wants to pass the guard but Kelli is keeping the position.
Kelli is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Andy L comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got L winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
