Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Freyr Linden!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linden shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Roosevelt tries a head kick but it misses.
Linden shoots in for a double leg but Roosevelt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Linden will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Garth Roosevelt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freyr Linden.

Linden slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Linden's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Roosevelt on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Roosevelt tries to get out of the position.
I looks like Linden might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Linden works over Roosevelt with some ground and pound from guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Despite being in the dominant position, Freyr Linden just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Linden counters with a nice double leg into side control. Roosevelt won't be happy with that.
