Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fred Frape (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Fred Frape! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Maia! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frape stuffs the takedown attempt from Maia. Maia gets slowly back to his feet. Frape really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Frape closes the distance and clinches.
Frape pulls guard effortlessly. Frape keeping moving, preventing Maia from controlling successfully. Frape being controlled here, momentarily. Maia trying to control the position from guard on top but Frape is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maia is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
 Despite being in the dominant position, Dave Maia just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Maia fails with a takedown attempt.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Frape decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Frape is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maia sees it coming and defends easily. Frape trying to control from half guard but Maia is working away. Maia trying to hold on to Frape's head to control him but Frape postures up.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Frape in particular looking to stall. Frape tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Ground and pound from Frape. Frape thows a huge punch but Maia dodges it nicely.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Frape is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Frape not landing any meaningful shots this time. Maia looks gassed! Frape prevents Maia from improving his position. Frape is keen to just control but Maia is a slippery customer.
Frape escapes and gets back to his feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Frape lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Frape. Maia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Frape counters with a right hand to the body. Fred Frape has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Maia.
Frape takes the fight into the clinch. Frape lands a knee to the body.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Frape manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maia manages to get himself to full guard.
Maia controls Frape momentarily but Frape frees himself. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Frape dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Frape gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Maia jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Frape walks away with a smile on his face. Maia gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A nice combination there by Frape.

It looks like Dave Maia has been cut. Maia has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Frape finds it's way round the side to connect with Maia's head. Maia takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Frape gets a clinch. Maia letting Frape take a breather here.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Frape bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Maia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Frape to score an easy takedown into full guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Frape throws a big right hand that misses. Frape trying to control but Maia is working from the bottom. Frape's corner is telling him to maintain position. Frape has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Frape trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Frape decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Maia, up you get! A solid leg kick lands there for Frape.
Frape lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Frape shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Frape showed some decent athleticism there. Frape keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Maia is looking to improve his position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Frape trying to control from half guard but Maia is working away. Maia works his way to full guard. Good work. Maia working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Frape. Frape trying to control but Maia is working from the bottom.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Frape stands and steps away. Maia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Maia shoots and misses
and Frape counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Maia's guard now. Frape wants to stand and escape but instead Maia has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Maia stays in close to Frape's body and controls the position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Frape dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Dave Maia's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Maia has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Frape has clasped his hands together around Maia's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Maia is trying to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Frape swings around for an armbar but Maia sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Frape's guard.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Maia trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Frape shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Maia napping and manages to drive through into side control! Frape slows the pace down. Frape tries to stand but Maia is controlling his head. Maia tries to bench press Frape off him but Frape keeps the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Maia takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Maia tries to improve position but can't. Frape wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maia keeps working. Maia tries to bench press Frape off him but Frape keeps the position.
 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Frape connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Frape looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Dave Maia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fred Frape is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Frape preventing the sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! Fred Frape showed his dominance in that final round. Well Frape has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
