And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayer looks to land a combination but De Luca avoids it well.
De Luca scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Gueu Mayer has been cut.
Mayer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
De Luca blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mayer.
Mayer lands strikes from half guard.
Mayer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Mayer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mayer thows a huge punch but De Luca dodges it nicely.
De Luca moves into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mayer is working De Luca over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mayer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
De Luca looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mayer is one step ahead there.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mayer's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mayer distracts De Luca with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
De Luca is looking for a triangle but Mayer pushes his legs off easily.
De Luca working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mayer.
De Luca has his foot on Mayer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mayer works his way back into a safe position though.
De Luca preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
De Luca utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
De Luca lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mayer!
Mayer looks gassed!
De Luca tries to control but Mayer wriggling away.
Mayer throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mayer is trying to escape the mount.
Mayer tries to improve his position but De Luca has taken his back! De Luca has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Mayer tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! De Luca pushes Mayer away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
