Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Derek Davison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Axel Davis! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Davison does no damage. Davis fails with a takedown attempt. Davis shoots in but Davison avoids the takedown attempt easily. A head kick misses from Davison. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davison throws the left hand but Davis avoids the punch easily. Davison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis is defended easily by Davison. Derek Davison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Axel Davis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Davis wants to pass the guard but Davison is keeping the position. Davis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Davison wants to stand and escape but Davis is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis sitting in guard here, content to control. Davis passes Davison's left leg - he's now in half guard. Davis seems to be working for a kimura but Davison defends the submission attempt.

Well, if Davis is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Davison wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Axel Davis dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Davis gets a takedown into half guard. Davis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Davison tries to kick Davis off but Davis keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Davis uses his free foot to push down on Davison's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Davison.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Davis goes for an armbar but Davison turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Davison. Davison would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davison wants to stand and escape but instead Davis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Davis tries to free his leg and advance position but Davison is retaining full guard. Davis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davison wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Davis manages to pass to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Davison pushes Davis off looking to stand but Davis dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Axel Davis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Davison misses with a wild body shot. Davison misses with a wild body shot. Davis fails with the takedown. Davison stuffs the takedown attempt from Davis. Davis gets slowly back to his feet. Davison throws a solid leg kick but Davis takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Davison. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davison throws a leg kick but Davis sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davison will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Davison throws a series of punches but Davis moves out of range. Davison wants to clinch up but Davis keeps it at a distance. Some wild striking there from Davison.
Davis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis tries to advance to mount but Davison denies him. Davison wants to get back to his feet but Davis is dominant here and he's now got Davison's back! Davis controlling from the back. Axel Davis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davison looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Davis is persistently looking for the submission but Davison is defending it well.
Davis is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Axel Davis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Davis winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
