Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Lowich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Lukens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Johnny Lukens enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Lowich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnny Lukens! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lowich lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Johnny Lukens has been cut. Lowich misses the shot to the body. Jeff Lowich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lowich throws a right and a left that both miss. Excellent takedown into side control there by Lukens. Lukens working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lukens thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lukens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lowich is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lowich tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lukens wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lukens tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Lukens trying to control the action but Lowich is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lukens tries to advance position but instead Lowich slips a leg back in to half guard. Lukens works his way into side control. Lukens wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lowich, who protects the arm well. Lukens looks gassed! Lowich tries to improve position but can't. Lukens looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lowich is trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lukens tries for a kimura but Lowich is defending well. Lukens trying to control the position but Lowich is working away. Lowich is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lukens asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lukens closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lowich to the mat! Lowich manages to get full guard. Lukens wants to control from the top but Lowich keeps moving. Lukens slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lukens is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lowich has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lukens has hold of Lowich's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lowich tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lukens cranks the arm and Lowich screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lowich, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Johnny Lukens!
