Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Mercado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by ruff riders. Chris Carson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mercado's half guard.

Mercado can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carson is looking to escape.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mercado cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Carson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mercado is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Carson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mercado's back instead.

That was a close second round but I would say that Diego Mercado will probably get the nod.

Mercado has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Carson is really squeezing tight and eventually Mercado passes out! Carson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
