Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Silverstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Silverstein! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silverstein throws a head kick but Bass moves out of range.
Bass looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bass shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silverstein's guard. Silverstein wants to stand but Bass is controlling the position. Silverstein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bass prevents Silverstein from getting back to his feet. Bass wants to control from the top but Silverstein keeps moving. Silverstein should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Silverstein wants to stand up but Bass is controlling him. Bass wants to pass the guard but Silverstein is keeping the position. Silverstein keeping moving, preventing Bass from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silverstein is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silverstein looks gassed!
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Bass moves into the clinch successfully.
Bass wants the takedown. Silverstein is fighting it off but Bass persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silverstein's guard against the cage. Silverstein is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bass trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bass lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bass trying to control but Silverstein is working from the bottom. Silverstein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bass is controlling him. Bass tries to free his leg and advance position but Silverstein is retaining full guard. Bass is working hard here to advance position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bass instigates a clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Silverstein using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bass has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Silverstein has had enough of the clinch but Bass keeps him there for the moment. Silverstein with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Bass drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Silverstein gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bass can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Bass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silverstein lands a nice knee to the body. Silverstein breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bass fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silverstein, pushing him back against the cage. Silverstein breaks the clinch.
Bass takes the fight into the clinch. Bass wants a takedown.
Silverstein wants to break free but Bass has control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A body shot lands from Bass.
Bass can't get the takedown.
Silverstein wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Silverstein throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Silverstein is pressed up against the cage. Bass has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silverstein down to the mat. Silverstein avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Silverstein tries to clinch there but Bass circles away.
Bass lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bass moves into the clinch. Silverstein is trying to stall.
Silverstein tries to land knees in the clinch but Bass avoids the damage to the body. Silverstein is pressed up against the cage. Bass has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silverstein down to the mat. Silverstein avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Bass moves into range and clinches up with Silverstein. Silverstein wants to get back to striking at distance but Bass won't allow it.

Bass is trying to trip Silverstein. He has hold of a leg but Silverstein is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bass persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Bass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Silverstein wants to get back to his feet but Bass is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bass trying to control but Silverstein is working from the bottom. Bass stops Silverstein from standing up. Bass in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Silverstein has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bass off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silverstein throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bass. Horrible takedown by Bass or perhaps it was just good defense by Silverstein which made him look bad. Bass fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bass closes the distance and clinches up with Silverstein, looking for a takedown. Bass pushes Silverstein against the cage but Silverstein circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bass avoids the head kick by Silverstein.
Nice combo by Bass! Oh, that's hurt him - Silverstein falls to the canvas and Bass follows him into side control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bass wants to control but Silverstein is keeping him busy. Silverstein is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bass has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bass lands an elbow. Silverstein is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bass asserts his dominance and retains side control. Bass landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Silverstein takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Silverstein is rocked! Bass works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Silverstein is still in real trouble! Can Bass finish him? Bass working the head and body with strikes. Silverstein is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Bass advances to mount. Bass fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bass cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
BOOM! Bass connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bass landing punches. Bass controlling his opponent. Bass scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Silverstein?
Silverstein takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Bass lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Silverstein trying desperately to get to his feet.

Silverstein is in a horrible position here. Bass smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Billy Bass dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Billy Bass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bass throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silverstein. Bass loads up on a big right hand but Silverstein slips the punch. Bass misses with a series of wild punches.

Silverstein seems to have recovered his senses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bass has a takedown stuffed. Silverstein throws a head kick that misses. Silverstein throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Silverstein is looking to close the distance but Bass sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Silverstein crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Silverstein is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
