Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rio Nakisaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Tornado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rio Nakisaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Tornado!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakisaki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tornado showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nakisaki.
Tornado wants to clinch.
Nakisaki throws a series of punches but Tornado avoids them all with ease.
Tornado is looking to clinch but Nakisaki is avoiding it.
Nakisaki changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Tornado just misses with a elbow thrown towards Nakisaki's brow.

Nakisaki jumps guard and drags Tornado to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Nakisaki has his foot on Tornado's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tornado works his way back into a safe position though.
Nakisaki wants to sweep here but Tornado controlling him for the moment.
Tornado wants to stand but Nakisaki has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nakisaki seems keen to control Tornado's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nakisaki manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Nakisaki jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tornado is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tornado and Nakisaki has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Nakisaki decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tornado to his feet.
Tornado wants to clinch but Nakisaki slips to the side

and Nakisaki decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tornado's guard.

so Nakisaki counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rio Nakisaki dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tornado is looking to stand back up but Nakisaki counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tornado.

and Nakisaki counters with a three punch combo that has Tornado backing up. Tornado nods at Nakisaki to acknowledge the strikes.

Nakisaki distracts Tornado with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Tornado is looking to stand up but Nakisaki isn't so interested in that idea.
Nakisaki wants to pass the guard but Tornado is keeping the position.
Nakisaki chips away with some ground and pound.

Nakisaki is looking to work some ground and pound but Tornado has wrist control.
Tornado wants to stand but Nakisaki is controlling the position.
Nakisaki throws a big right hand that misses.
Tornado is looking to stand up but Nakisaki isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Tornado throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nakisaki.

and Nakisaki makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Tornado really felt that one!

Nakisaki clinches.

Nakisaki has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tornado clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Nakisaki lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Tornado hold on?!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nakisaki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Nakisaki postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nakisaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tornado swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nakisaki stands up and waves to Tornado to follow him.

Tornado lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Nakisaki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tornado can do to turn this around?

Rio Nakisaki showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Nakisaki has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
