Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hammer Nao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nao is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Hammer Nao has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hammer Nao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, William White! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Nao is breathing heavily. White is looking to clinch. White ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Nao takes a shot right to the bread basket. Nao keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nao throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nao shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with White but White pushes him off and we're back to square one. White gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nao counters with a shoot takedown. White fights it but they end up in guard. Nao stopping the sweep attempt from White. White working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nao doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nao manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. White looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nao won't allow White to get back to his feet. White working a defensive guard here.
Nao trying to control but White is working from the bottom. Nao stops White from standing up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nao throws a nice looking combination but White bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. White throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. White tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nao counters by moving into the clinch. White tries to pull guard but Nao won't allow it.
Hammer Nao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William White. White has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nao is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. White looking for a takedown. White wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nao has him pressed against the cage. Nao manages to break the clinch.
White has his takedown stuffed and Nao counters with a nice double leg into guard. White bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nao's guard. White trying to control the position from guard on top but Nao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. White thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. White advances to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White is trying to work for a kimura but Nao is defending well.
White is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Nao has managed to free his arm - good work. White works his foot free and advances to mount. White looking to finish Nao with some ground and pound. This is bad for Nao! White unloading with bombs! White is landing with some decent strikes but Nao is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. White can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nao is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White landing shots from mount. White working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. White is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nao can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The referee warns Nao that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
White goes for an armbar but Nao turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Nao. White is striking but Nao is not phased and passes to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. White looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but William White will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
White with a lazy takedown attempt and Nao decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in White's guard. White manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nao manages to get himself to full guard.
White advances to half guard. Nao is staying active underneath White, who seems content to just control the action from this position. White is working for an americana but Nao has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst White was thinking about the submission. Nao keeping full guard, as White tries to pass. White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. White works a leg free and moves into half guard. White wants to take a breather but Nao is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. White seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. White is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. White lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nao! White in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Nao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground. White wants to take Nao's back but he can't do it this time. Nao tries to hold on but White pushes him away. White looking to secure an arm triangle but Nao defends it well. White goes for an armbar but Nao turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Nao.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Nao doesn't defend quickly enough and White has managed to lock this one up! Can Nao escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to White on a fantastic submission victory.
