The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Joad wants to stall.

Dos Santos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Joad manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dos Santos has Joad in his guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tom Joad just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lucas Dos Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Joad lands with a right and another and another! Dos Santos is in big trouble! Joad lands again and this time it's lights out for Dos Santos! A quality knockout there for Joad.
