The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riot throws a sloppy head kick and Hallt moves out of range easily.
Riot fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Riot throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Ben Riot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riot swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Riot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Riot's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Riot duly obliges.

It looks like Tom Hallt has been cut.
Riot rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hallt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Riot throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hallt sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Riot throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Riot throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A combination from Riot does no damage.
Riot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hallt circles away quickly and effectively.
Riot throws a body punch but Hallt moves out of range.
Riot throws a jab when Hallt was well out of range.

Hallt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Riot.
Riot misses with a two punch combination.
Hallt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Riot throws a hook to the side of Hallt's head but Hallt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ben Riot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Riot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Riot just misses with a punch to the body.
Hallt misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hallt is defended easily by Riot.

Hallt wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Riot, who protects the arm well.
Riot tries to improve position but can't.

Hallt has hold of Riot's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Riot seems comfortable defending it but Hallt has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Riot is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Riot is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hallt couldn't care less - he's delighted!
