Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dmx fails with a takedown attempt.
smax leaves dmx with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

smax throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. dmx was covering up waiting for the punch and smax finishes the takedown easily into guard.
dmx is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
smax tries to free his leg and advance position but dmx is retaining full guard.
dmx not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

smax stands up from guard. Let's bang!
smax takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like bobby smax has been cut.

smax has managed to clinch.
dmx displaying some good clinch control by pressing smax up against the cage.
dmx has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. smax avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for dj dmx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
dmx goes for a takedown attempt but smax pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
smax will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

smax cracks dmx with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
dmx is breathing heavily.

smax is looking to break free of the clinch but dmx has double underhooks.

smax breaks from the clinch.
smax circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops dmx to the canvas! dmx doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - smax keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
