The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Banks misses with an uppercut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Banks. That's going to slow Newton down.
Newton comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Newton closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Banks wants to clinch.
Banks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Banks is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Newton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Banks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Newton gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Banks tries to throw a body punch but Newton avoids it by throwing Banks back against the cage.

Newton ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Newton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ben Newton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Banks has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Newton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Banks.

I've got Newton winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
