Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tom the outlaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Banks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, tom the outlaw! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! the outlaw drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Banks has his feet on the outlaw's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. A slow jab from Banks misses its intended target. the outlaw closes the distance and clinches. the outlaw ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. the outlaw no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. the outlaw wants to stand and escape but Banks is having none of it. Banks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Banks throwing strikes but missing. Banks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Banks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Banks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Banks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Banks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as the outlaw works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. the outlaw has Banks up against the cage in a clinch.

Banks looks to land a combination but the outlaw avoids it well. Banks stuffs the takedown. Banks lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Banks lands with a thumping leg kick.
Banks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Banks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

the outlaw is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Banks dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Banks with a nice head shot there. Banks stands and throws the outlaw's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banks working the ground and pound. the outlaw can't do much from the bottom here. That's four minutes gone in the round. Banks in side control lands a decent elbow. Banks scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at the outlaw to see if he's OK. The referee asks Banks politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Banks prefers to stall for the moment though. Banks lands an elbow. Banks lands an elbow. the outlaw stops Banks from passing to mount. Banks lands a few punches from side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Banks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Banks controls the position. Banks throwing shots but missing, from side control. Banks stands up and we're back to a striking position. Banks's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Banks duly obliges. Banks moves into the clinch. the outlaw avoids a wild elbow strike from Banks. Banks is trying to force a seperation but the outlaw has the dominant position. Banks taking a breather. The is referee keeping an eye on the outlaw - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round. the outlaw jumps into guard, dragging Banks to the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Banks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. the outlaw is keeping the position for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Banks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Banks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. the outlaw wants to get back to his feet but Banks is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Banks stopping the sweep attempt from the outlaw. Banks trying to control the position from guard on top but the outlaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banks scores with a decent looking elbow strike. the outlaw working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Banks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Banks postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. the outlaw fails with the takedown and Banks counters with an inside leg kick. Banks looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Banks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. the outlaw is looking to control Banks's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can the outlaw avoid being mounted? the outlaw tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Banks has advanced to mount. Uh oh. the outlaw tries to hold on but Banks pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. the outlaw tries to get back to half guard but can't. Banks working the outlaw over with strikes here. Banks controlling from mount. the outlaw working to try and regain half guard.
the outlaw takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dave Banks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. BOOM! Banks connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Banks connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Dave Banks dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Banks content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Banks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Banks passes easily into side control. Nice work. Banks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. the outlaw wants to control but Banks postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. the outlaw tries to bench press Banks off him but Banks keeps the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. the outlaw taking punishment in the form of punches.
Banks lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear the outlaw down.

Banks lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. the outlaw tries to lock up and control but Banks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. the outlaw is desperately trying to improve his position but Banks has a good base and remains in mount. Banks looking to finish the outlaw with some ground and pound. This is bad for the outlaw! the outlaw keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Banks lands with some vicious ground and pound - can the outlaw hang on? the outlaw tries to hold on but Banks pushes him away. Dave Banks is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Banks controlling the pace for now. the outlaw wants to hold on but Banks pushes him away. Banks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Banks showed his dominance in that final round. Well Banks has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
