Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Esch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Galbraith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Esch might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of The Tiger. Galbraith has chosen Bodies as his entrance music. John Galbraith has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Esch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Galbraith! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Galbraith works over Esch's head and body with a nice combination. Galbraith throws a series of punches but Esch moves out of range. Esch drives through with a takedown into guard. Galbraith trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Esch trying to control the position from guard on top but Galbraith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Esch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Esch is stalling in the full guard. Galbraith wants to get back to his feet but Esch is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Esch looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Esch decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Esch pushes Galbraith up against the ropes in a clinch. A short right from Galbraith on the inside. Esch unloads a knee to the mid-section. Galbraith is trying to break the clinch but Esch has him pressed against the ropes. Galbraith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Galbraith has had enough of the clinch but Esch keeps him there for the moment. Galbraith looks gassed! Galbraith can't find room to land a body shot as Esch controls the action.
Galbraith tries to throw a body punch but Esch avoids it by throwing Galbraith back against the cage. Esch has Galbraith pressed against the ropes, preventing Galbraith from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Esch blocking some punches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Esch. Esch blocks an uppercut.
Galbraith tries to break free but Esch pushes him back against the ropes. Galbraith tries to circle away but Esch has him pinned against the ropes. Galbraith wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Esch wants to get back to striking at distance but Galbraith won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Galbraith has had enough of the clinch but Esch keeps him there for the moment. Galbraith lands with a right to the head. Esch keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Galbraith's efforts to push away. Galbraith tries to circle away but Esch has him pinned against the ropes. Esch blocks a body shot from Galbraith. Esch stalls. Galbraith is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Esch looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Galbraith prevents the takedown attempt.
Esch prevents a body shot from Galbraith. Esch is trying to break the clinch but Galbraith is controlling him. Esch working hard to break the clinch. Galbraith misses with a hook from the clinch. Esch blocks an uppercut.
Galbraith lands on the inside with an uppercut. A frustrated look appears on Galbraith's face as he tries to break the clinch. Galbraith is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Esch has picked Galbraith up - he's going for a ride! Esch dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Esch is controlling the pace.
Esch wants to pass the guard but Galbraith is defending well. Esch slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Esch has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Eric Esch just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Esch misses with a double jab
and Galbraith counters with a two punch combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Eric Esch will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Galbraith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Galbraith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Esch counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Esch takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Galbraith is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Eric Esch just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Esch steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Galbraith. Esch is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Galbraith's half guard. Esch perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Esch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Galbraith on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Eric Esch just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. A combination from Esch does no damage. Galbraith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Esch counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Esch sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Esch trying to control but Galbraith is working from the bottom. Esch is really struggling to control Galbraith but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Eric Esch just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Danga de danga de dang - Galbraith scores with a four punch combination! Esch stalks Galbraith and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Galbraith's face. Galbraith staggers backwards, shaken. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Esch scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Esch perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Galbraith avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Esch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Esch dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Esch doesn't manage to clinch there - Galbraith circles away.
Esch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight stays on the outside here - Esch looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Galbraith has his takedown stuffed and Esch counters with a nice double leg into side control. Galbraith won't be happy with that. Esch controls the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Esch is keen to just control but Galbraith is a slippery customer. Esch not doing much here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Galbraith is not content to let Esch control the position. Esch looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Galbraith wants to get back to his feet. Esch content to control rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Eric Esch just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Esch looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Galbraith being controlled here, momentarily. Esch seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Galbraith for as long as he can get away with. Esch prevents Galbraith from getting back to his feet. John Galbraith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Eric Esch is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Esch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Eric Esch showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Esch, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
